Meet Your Dentists
Dr. John H. Atcheson and Dr. Joseph M. Atcheson were born and raised in Central, SC . The brothers are graduates of Daniel High School (1998 and 2002) and Southern Wesleyan University (2002 and 2006). After receiving their pre-medicine degrees from Southern Wesleyan, they each attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, where they earned their Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees.
Both brothers returned to the upstate upon graduation from MUSC and found associateship positions at dental offices in Oconee County. A very strong friendship and lifelong desire to work together helped the Atchesons work towards the common goal of opening a dental practice together. Together, they saw a need for an office right where they grew up. It seemed like a natural decision and would allow them both to practice where they want to raise their families.
Both dentists share a passion and desire to provide the highest quality dental treatment to the area with a strong emphasis on current procedures and technology. They both understand the struggle to keep dental appointments a priority while juggling a career and a family. Both brothers want to provide the highest service, technology, and availability that patients need.

Dr. John H. Atcheson met his wife, Renee, at Southern Wesleyan while both were students. Renee is a special education teacher at Chastain Road Elementary. They currently reside in Six Mile and stay busy chasing their son, Connor Thomas Atcheson and black lab, Belle.
Dr. Joseph M. Atcheson married his wife, Elizabeth, while students at Southern Wesleyan. Elizabeth is a 1st grade teacher at Six Mile Elementary and recently gave birth to their first child, Carter Davis Atcheson. They also recently added Jenny, their German Shorthaired Pointer, to the family
.
A great love for the outdoors and family has kept the brothers close. When not in the office, the two can be found in the woods, on the water, or on the golf course. Both brothers are members of the ADA, South Carolina Dental Association, and the Tri-County Dental Association where Dr. John Atcheson previously served as President. Dr. John Atcheson also has served on the Southern Wesleyan University Board of Visitors for the past 3 years. Both families attend Alive Wesleyan Church in Central.
